Shelter to Soldier 2nd Annual Benefit Gala -Red Carpet and Photo booth

Genuine, heartfelt, breathtaking- these are a few words to describe the Shelter to Soldier Benefit Gala this past Monday evening. Held at the Ultimate Sky Box in Downtown San Diego and planned with the expertise of Amanda McPhail of Creative Affairs Inc., there was a phenomenal outpour of support from guests and sponsors of Shelter to Soldier who made this event a memorable and successful one. Guests were greeted by the cheerful volunteers of Shelter to Soldier then directed to a red carpet photo op with one of Nine10’s photographers. The room was full of delicacies prepared by acclaimed names in the food and catering industry such as Searsucker, Cupcakes Squared, The Wild Thyme Catering and Toast Catering to name a few. As we all enjoyed the festivities, including the “Presentation of Colors” and rendition of the “Star Spangled Banner,” the Hollywood American comedy drama, “The Bucket List” played in multiple screens around the main event space. We were also fortunate to have the screen writer and director of the movie, Justin Zackham present to talk about the film and have one on one conversation. Of course Nine10’s photo booth was indeed again a hit with the guests! And really….what’s an event without a photo booth :) ?

Shelter to Soldier, for those not familiar is a non-profit organization founded by Graham Bloom, who since a child developed a love for animals and never underestimated their capabilities. An Animal Behavior College Certified Trainer and owner of multiple pet related businesses, he founded this organization to help those soldiers who suffer from mental illnesses post combat by training shelter dogs to be their service companions.

Nine10 would like to thank Graham and Shelter to Soldier for having us at their benefit gala. We could truly feel the necessity and importance of having this type of organization available to our troops and the positive outcomes that result of it being present in our community. Nine10 is honored to have been amongst those who support this organization and it’s great cause. For more information about Shelter to Soldier, please visit their website at www.sheltertosoldier.org.
